Camera RAW
I am learning about the advantages of "shooting in RAW" instead of capturing pictures in JPEG files. RAW files are definitely higher quality (but take up lots of file space). These pictures were taken in RAW and I love how they turned out. Actually, I shot in RAW+JPG so I could compare and the JPGs definitely didn't edit nearly as well as the RAW files. For now I don't have Photoshop or Lightroom or a real way to batch process my RAW files on my computer, so I'm still debating on when to shoot in which file type. (I would like to get Photoshop Elements and shoot in RAW.) But I did learn that the iPhoto program on my Mac that I use for pictures can at least process the RAW files and then export them into JPEGs. I can't adjust them as much as I could with Photoshop though.
